Graduate Student
Victoria is a native New Mexican and earned her B.S. in chemistry from the University of New Mexico. As an undergraduate, she synthesized plasmonic nanoparticles and perovskite quantum dots for telecommunication applications in Dr. Jennifer Hollingsworth lab. She later joined Dr. Matthew Aronoff's lab working on the synthesis of small molecular probes with azirine and tetrazole structural motifs for selective bioconjugation with carboxylic acid residues on proteins. In the Morstein group, Victoria is synthesizing solvatochromic probes to study membrane fluidity. Outside the lab, Victoria enjoys reading and drawing comics, leisurely bike rides, and knitting.
