Join the Morstein Lab!

The Morstein Lab is starting in September 2025 and we are recruiting on all levels. We are committed to building an inclusive lab and welcome members from all backgrounds.

Postdoctoral Candidates

Prospective postdoctoral fellows should email Johannes their CV, a brief cover letter describing their previous research and interest in the Morstein lab, as well as the contact information for 2-3 references.

Graduate Students

Prospective graduate students must apply directly to a Caltech graduate degree program, such as Chemistry, BMB, or Biology. Prospective students are encouraged to contact Johannes early in the process by sending their CV and a brief cover letter.

Current graduate students who are interested in rotating in the lab should email Johannes to discuss possible projects.

Undergraduates

Students from all academic options are encouraged to apply. Interested applicants should send Johannes a brief cover letter describing why they are interested in joining the lab and what they hope to gain from the experience. Support is available through the Caltech Student-Faculty Programs.
