Graduate Student
Isha graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in December 2025 with a B.S. in Chemical Biology. As an undergraduate, she synthesized functionalized near-infrared I fluorophores for targeting breast cancer cells in Dr. Bruce Cohen's lab. After graduation, she continued her research as a Junior Specialist in Drs. Bruce Cohen and Mekhail Anwar's labs and focused on the synthesis of longer-wavelength near-infrared II fluorophores for deep tissue imaging. In the Morstein group, Isha is synthesizing novel fluorescent probes for multiplexed imaging of various lipids. Outside of her research, she enjoys taking ballet class, running, and reading popular science books.
