Graduate Student
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Carlynda attended the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) in La Jolla, San Diego, where she graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry in 2025. At UCSD, she helped create a mass spectral library of metabolites under Dr. Pieter Dorrestein and studied structural proteomics using Fast Photochemical Oxidation of Proteins (FPOP) under Dr. Lisa Jones. She also worked on studying calcium isotope composition in urine as a biomarker of bone health at Dr. François Tissot's lab at Caltech. Outside of the lab, Carlynda enjoys reading, eating good food, and solving crossword puzzles.
